Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships benefit minority and economically disadvantaged students who are studying the design/arts disciplines in colleges and universities in the United States.

 

Among the Scholarships' primary aims are:

  • • to increase diversity in the creative professions, and
  • • to foster social and environmental responsibility in the artists, designers, and studios of tomorrow.

To this end, scholarship recipients are selected not only for their ability and their need, but also for their demonstrated commitment to giving back to the larger community through their work.

 

Basic scholarships are awarded in the amount of $2,000-$3,000. Grand Prize awards are also given each year in amounts up to $6,000 at the jury's discretion. These awards are paid directly to your school to be applied toward your tuition. In addition, Honorable Mention prizes in the amount of $200 cash are awarded.

 

All applications for Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships must be completed in two parts:

STEP 1 is completed online and requires inputting information about yourself and your school, as well as uploading digital images of your work. This part of the application will be found at this website: http://www.aiga.org/content.cfm/worldstudio-scholarship.


STEP 2 requires filling out and mailing a hard copy of an application form that you can print from the link below or from www.aiga.org.

Follow the links on the right and read the guidelines thoroughly. Please follow all instructions. Incomplete or late applications will be disqualified.
