helping kids create: guide to mentoring

With over 25 years of combined experience in establishing and administering mentoring programs, both Worldstudio Foundation and AIGA have pooled resources as well as sought guidance from leading educational organizations in order to bring you the tools and techniques for designing your own effective mentoring program.

The guides are resource tools for individuals and organizations interested in mentoring – and in establishing their own mentoring programs – with an emphasis on the visual arts and design disciplines. These guides, which have been created to engage, excite and educate, contain success stories, case studies and valuable reference materials.

The series addresses two primary groups of potential mentors:
Individual creatives who would like to participate in a short-term, one-on-one mentoring relationship with a young person.

Organizations (AIGA chapters, design studios, corporate design departments, after-school-programs) that wish to establish more extensive and/or longer-term mentoring programs.
The series of seven mentoring guides are available for download in Adobe pdf format. You will need Adobe Reader a free application to view the guides. Use the link below the files to the right.
